Rural Old-West-Meets-New-West Feel

The most important aspect of the valley to me is the rural, old-west-meets-new-west feel. I like that our valley is three different towns with rural, open farm and rangeland in-between. It would be a loss if these rural lands filled with subdivisions, trophy homes, gas wells, feedlots or other industrial size confined animal operations. I value that these lands are small-scale, family owned ranching and farming operations.

If I had a magic wand, Delta County would have a comprehensive and meaningful land use and planning document that ensured that future growth is managed to enhance the small-scale farming and ranching that currently occurs in the valley.
